Egyptian Alliance for Human Rights and Development Condemns ISIL Attack on Security Point in Northern Iraq

The Egyptian Alliance for Human Rights and Development today condemned the terrorist attack of the terrorist organization ISIL, which targeted Iraqi security forces, and reported that the terrorist organization ISIL launched an attack last Friday morning (April 30th) on a Peshmerga security checkpoint in the area of “Elton Kobry” north of Kirkuk province, killing four Iraqi soldiers.      

Iraqi authorities have imposed a state of alert (C) in Kirkuk province, the highest security alert in Iraq.

The Egyptian Alliance for Human Rights and Development expresses its solidarity and full support with the Republic of Iraq in its war on terrorism and terrorist groups, and its support in all its actions to counter extremist terrorist groups,

The Alliance appreciates the efforts of the Iraqi armed forces to protect Iraq’s security and territorial integrity and to defend its citizens against the malicious plans and cowardly terrorist acts targeting Iraq’s security and stability.

The Egyptian Alliance for Human Rights and Development calls upon the United Nations and the international community to support the Iraqi government in its efforts to fight and eliminate remnants of the terrorist organization ISIL for the stability and security of the Arab region.
