The terrorist Houthi group in Yemen who arrested a number of political figures yesterday, Monday, who were on their way to attend the negotiations called for by the Gulf Cooperation Council, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh.

Local sources stated that the Houthi militia detained “Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Olfi, Dr. Hammoud Al-Awdi, and Anwar Khaled Shaab” in Ibb Governorate, despite coordination with them, but the Houthi forces arrested them in Ibb Governorate.

The Houthi group had rejected the invitation of the Gulf Cooperation Council to participate in the Riyadh consultations scheduled to start today, Tuesday, March 29 in the Saudi capital.

The Egyptian coalition holds the Houthis fully responsible for their personal safety, and demands their immediate release. The coalition affirms that the political solution is the best way to end the siege in Yemen.
