Today, Thursday, May 12, 2022, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development (ECHRD) condemned the terrorist attack that took place yesterday, Wednesday, targeting a security focal point of the Egyptian Armed Forces, west of Rafah in North Sinai. The attack caused the death of an officer and four soliders from the Border Guard Forces.
A terrorist group had carried out a terrorist attack that took place at the beginning of the week on a security focal point and a water crane in western Sinai, which was planned to be used in the development of the Sinai Peninsula. The incident resulted in the death of an officer and ten soldiers.
The ECHRD calls on the international community to support the Egyptian state in its continuous efforts to eliminate terrorism, especially in the Sinai Peninsula.
