The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development (ECHRD) expresses its condemnation of the storming of large numbers of Israeli settlers in the early morning hours of Sunday, 26/3/2023, Al-Aqsa Mosque from the direction of the Mugharba Gate in successive groups, under strict protection from the Israeli occupation police.
They performed Talmudic rituals at the gates and square. The occupation police strengthened their deployment inside Al-Aqsa and at its gates. The identity cards were checked and restrictions were imposed on those entering the mosque. The occupation forces also assaulted worshipers and young men, obstructed them on their way to Fajr prayer in Al-Aqsa Mosque after it was emptied of the worshipers inside it at night and forcibly removed from it to secure the settlers’ incursions, and arrested three young men from Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The ECHRD condemns these disgraceful acts and daily attacks carried out by the fascist Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinian people and their religious sanctities, which aims to export the internal crisis to explode the situation and provoke the feelings of Muslims and free people in the world, especially in the blessed month of Ramadan. It infringes on their natural rights to practice religious rites in their mosques, and the sanctity of Islamic religious sanctities.
The ECHRD calls for immediate international intervention to force the Zionist entity to stop these attacks and continuous provocations against the Palestinian people, Al-Aqsa Mosque and religious sanctities, and to force it to abide by international treaties and laws that condemn these heinous attacks that violate the Palestinians’ right to live in peace and security on their homeland and their right to practice their religious rites and preserve their religious sanctities without hindrance or threat to them. The ECHRD warns the Zionist entity of the consequences of its crime, which will lead to dire consequences and escalation of the conflict.
