The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development (ECHRD) condemns the violent terrorist incidents carried out by the Houthi group in Yemen during the past 24 hours, which resulted in the killing of nearly 25 people and the injury of 50 civilians in 3 different Yemeni cities.

Yesterday, Saturday, October 30, Yemen witnessed terrorist acts that threaten the security and safety of innocent citizens, after the Houthis had targeted Aden airport with a car bomb explosion that killed 12 people and injured twice that number, including children and women. In Taiz, 8 people were killed and dozens wounded, including 4 children from one family, as a result of the Houthi bombing of the al-Kamb neighborhood, east of the city of Taiz.

According to a report by the United Nations International Organization for Migration, more than 6,000 people have been displaced in the city of Marib since the beginning of this month, coinciding with intense attacks on civilians in the Al-Juba district of the Marib governorate, during which dozens of civilians have been killed in recent weeks due to the targeting of the Houthi militia.

For its part, the ECHRD praised the efforts of the Yemeni National Army and the Arab Coalition to confront the challenges posed by Houthi terrorism in the region.

The ECHRD affirms its permanent position to reject any acts of terrorist violence that undermine the safety and security of all the peoples of Arab countries.
