Two young men assault an Egyptian driver in Kuwait

A public transport bus driver submitted a report to the Salmiya Police ( 16 February 2022), stating that he was beaten by two people and then ran away. A case of assault was registered in the incident and referred to the General Department of Criminal Investigation, and that the accused are being arrested to take the necessary action against them

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior statement did not clarify the identity of the people in the quarrel, but activists published a video of the quarrel that took place inside the bus and was documented by a passerby in front of the bus. In it, 4 people appear, two of them fighting with the driver, and one of them severely strangled the driver and some tried to escape from the hands of the young man, but they failed until the driver lost consciousness and fell to the ground unconscious.

The Egyptian driver is about 29 years old, and works on a bus belonging to a transport company. The young Egyptian reported a report to the Salmiya Police Station, and brought a medical report documenting a wound under his eye.

He was rescued inside the hospital from the wounds caused by the quarrel, as he was beaten by two people he did not know because of their refusal to pay transportation fees.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior announced, in a statement, that a public transport bus driver submitted a report to the Salmiya Police, stating that he was beaten by two people and fled, noting that a case of assault was registered in the incident and referred to the General Department of Criminal Investigation and that the accused to be arrested.
