Qena – July 23, 2025
The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development has concluded its training program for its observers in the governorates of Qena, Luxor, and Aswan, held over three days as part of ongoing preparations to monitor the 2025 Senate elections.
The trainings, led by electoral systems expert Mr. Abdel Nasser Kandil, aimed to strengthen the capacities of local observers in monitoring the electoral process at all its stages, in line with national and international standards, and to ensure integrity, transparency, and respect for voters’ rights. The training program included specialized sessions on the legal framework of the elections, mechanisms for documentation and report preparation, as well as the state’s obligations to organize free and fair elections.
The organizers emphasized that these activities are part of the coalition’s commitment to supporting community participation in public life and enabling volunteers to effectively and professionally carry out their oversight roles, thereby contributing to strengthening citizens’ trust in the democratic process.
It is worth mentioning that the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development, founded in 2015, is one of the rights-based entities working to promote a culture of human rights and good governance in various Egyptian governorates.
