The Egyptian Alliance for Human Rights and Development condemned the attack by a number of Ethiopian monks on the Monastery of the Sultan of the Egyptian Church in Jerusalem, and the alliance reported that monks from Ethiopia set up on Thursday night (29Th Of England 2021) a tent raised with the Ethiopian state flag in Deir al-Sultan Square, coinciding with the attack and mocking of Egyptian monks by the Ethiopian monks; Egyptian Alliance warns against such behavior that do not match the values of tolerance and violates the right to freedom of religious practice while also highlighting that the monastery belongs to the Egyptian Church outside Egypt,  and as such is part of the Property of the Egyptian Orthodox Church in the Holy Land,
