Today, Thursday, May 5, 2022, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development (ECHRD) condemned the terrorist attack near the children’s park “Garden City” in Taiz, Yemen, by firing four missiles from drones. The attack resulted in 10 casualties, including 6 civilians, and 6 damaged vehicles, four of them civilians. As well as panic and terror hit dozens of children and their families who scrambled outside the park.

In addition, the Houthi militia had seized the “Van City” amusement park, located south of Sanaa, and operated it for its benefit during the blessed Eid al-Fitr holiday, and expelled its administrators and employees by force of arms.

The ECHRD stresses that all Houthi actions in Yemen only express Iranian ambitions on the wealth and property of the Yemeni people. These actions do not limit the humanitarian crises caused by these militias since their coup against power in 2015.

Finally, the ECHRD warns against targeting civilian objects and civilians in Yemen, and demands that the Houthi group abide by the recent truce and deliver humanitarian aid.
