Today, Sunday, June 12, 2022, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development (FDHRD) denounced the repeated attacks by the Indian police on Muslim demonstrators in protest against the statements of an official in the ruling party in India about the Prophet Muhammad. Police Shoot bullets to disperse the demonstrators, killing two people and injuring several others in the town of Ranchi in eastern India.
The Hindi police arrested more than 130 citizens of these demonstrations. There was a spread video clip of a policeman assaulting the harsh beating of a group of Muslim youths in a police station.

It is worth noting that the Indian government has taken a decision to ban traffic, and another decision to cut off Internet services in the same city.

The ECHRD calls on the United Nations, the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression, and the Special Rapporteur on Minority Issues to investigate these attacks against Muslim minorities in India and to hold those responsible accountable.
