The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development condemns social media crackdowns on The Palestinian world

The Egyptian Alliance for Human Rights and Development condemns the crackdown on social media by targeting freedom of opinion and expression of the world concerned with the Palestinian issue

In response to the increasing attacks and attacks by the Israeli occupation authorities against Palestinians, social media users have gone on to express their rejection of what is happening in Jerusalem, expressing this on their pages now that users have been surprised that they are being subjected to intellectual repression and banning and deleting publications that express their opinions. The justification for deleting these contents was that they incite violence, hatred and policies that are different from the policy of Facebook not only deleted the posts supporting the Palestinian cause, but it continued to impose the opposite opinion directed by the occupation authorities, where the founders of Facebook set up a page called Jerusalem prayer team  and added more than 79 thousand followers to force them as that page works to support and justify violations carried out by the Israeli occupation authorities.

The Egyptian Alliance for Human Rights and Development considers that the use of these repressive tools for freedom of thought and expression is an international crime contrary to Article 19 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, which stipulates that everyone has the right to freedom of opinion and expression, including the freedom to embrace opinions without interference, since everyone has the absolute right to express his or her opinions and is not subject to restriction in any way, and no person may be imposed on me to adopt ideas. Certain or prevented from adopting others and it is not permissible to hold a person accountable, punished or subjected to any form of violence

In response to the psychological violence suffered by users of social media sites and sticking to defending the Palestinian cause, users went to create a new language to escape the algorithms developed by social media sites to target opinions by disintegrating the letters of words or combining Arabic and foreign letters in one word or writing the word without putting points, in addition to the users came to negative evaluation of Facebook where users put the lowest evaluation on the site “Google Play” and “Play” Astor” 3.5 and 1.9 respectively, and jordan and Egypt were the leaders of that campaign.
