The Forum for Development and Human Rights Dialogue condemns the Islamic Relief Organization promotion of Hatred and Incitement discourse against Yazidi People

The Forum for Development and Human Rights Dialogue condemns the declarations of Hani El Bana, the founder of the International Islamic Relief Organization which is one of the organizations affiliated to the terroristic (as classified in many countries) international organization of Muslim Brotherhood in regard to promoting discourse that incites hatred and violence against Yazidi people as he described them as “Devil Worshippers”. In addition, El Bana who also is the head of the Forum of Islamic Charitable Organizations in Britain and the head of Islamic Relief Organization in Switzerland has declared this hatred discourse in a posted video on Twitter during his lecture last September.

Those declarations were not the only ones which incite hatred and violence against others as they were preceded by anti-Semitic comments which supported the terroristic Muslim Brotherhood organization and other extremist organizations. El Bana’s declarations are consistent with the discourse of ISIS terroristic organization which implemented a plan of genocide against followers of Yazidi people in Iraq and Syria during occupying parts of them according to a systematic targeting by religious extremist organizations against ethnic and religious groups.

The Islamic Relief Organization is one of the most organizations which receive fund from Qatar. Reports point out that the organization receives millions of dollars by Qatar Charitable Organization related to the Muslim Brotherhood leader Yousef Al Qaradawy who lives in Doha.

The Forum for Development and Human Rights Dialogue assures the seriousness of scandal religions by members of Islamic Relief Organization in addition to incite hatred and religious racism; the matter which contradicts with international charters and the Universal Declaration of Human Rights which consider inciting hatred a crime against humanity in addition to the Convention of Prevention of Genocide and the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights. Besides, in contradicts with the articles of the International Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Racial Discrimination since its article 4 states that all immediate positive measures to eliminate discrimination-based incitement to achieve this goal with considering all principles mentioned in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the rights stated in article 5 in this convention as follows: “Shall declare an offence punishable by law all dissemination of ideas based on racial superiority or hatred, incitement to racial discrimination, as well as all acts of violence or incitement to such acts against any race or group of persons of another color or ethnic origin, and also the provision of any assistance to racist activities, including the financing thereof”. Also in its article no. 20, the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights criminalizes any incitement to national, racial or religious hatred which considers an incitement to discrimination, enmity or violence.

The Forum for Development and Human Rights Dialogue calls the Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Religion with the High Commissioner of Human Rights to undertake his duties and responsibilities towards this organization affiliated to extremist organization of Muslim Brotherhood according to his power to stop its inciting activity against religions.
