The third training course, organized by the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development, was held in Alexandria with the participation of the Women and Development Association in Alexandria and attended by representatives of a number of associations and development and human rights institutions in Alexandria governorate, as part of training observers to observe the 2020 Senate elections, as well as the alliance’s interest in holding a number of educational and awareness seminars within the framework of political education on the “Senate”, its importance and powers,
and Abdul Nasser Qandil human rights expert and electoral systems consultant trained the observers on: (Electoral benefits, Senate law, Observing Elections), In an atmosphere of interaction between the recipients of officials and representatives of associations and development and human rights institutions,
the participating associations and institutions submitted some proposals, in addition to applying to join the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development, consisting of a number of development institutions and associations at the level of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
It is worth mentioning that this meeting is the third interactive meeting on the observing of the elections of the Senate, where the first meeting was held in Giza in cooperation with the Foundation “Women for Development” in Imbaba, in which a number of associations and development institutions participated concerned, and the second meeting took place in Al-Sharqiya governorate in cooperation with Al-Sharqiya Youth Foundation for Development.
In this context comes also the initiative of the Coalition to network with more than one institution and a development and human rights association, at the level of all governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt, where the next interactive meeting will be held in Luxor governorate, followed by a tour of the coalition in Upper Egypt, after the tour of the coalition in Alexandria governorate.
