Today, Sunday, the First Circuit of Tanta Criminal Court sentenced Najwa M., 29, to life imprisonment on charges of human trafficking and endangering the life of her newborn daughter. In the same case, it also ruled that “Gharam A. – 20 years” be imprisoned for 3 years and a fine of 100,000 pounds, for her participation with the first accused (the mother) in dealing with the victim child and buying her for a sum of money.
The case, which carried No. 4902 for the year 2021 and is registered to No. 1944 for the year 2021 in Shebin El-Kom, dates back to the last year 2021, where the first accused (the girl’s mother) agreed with the second accused to sell her newborn child for a sum of money, with the intention of legally prohibited adoption. They committed a charge of Forgery of official documents in an attempt to prove the parentage of the girl to the second accused.
Investigations had revealed that the first accused gave birth to the child illegally, which prompted her to get rid of her in exchange for a sum of money.
