It is undeniable that Media focus on a specific political issue adds great importance to it, as it occupies an important rank in the public priorities arrangement. It provokes people to discuss those issues and take positions in regards to them, which are subsequently reflected determining the level of people participation in the political process.
According to political communication researchers, political participation process passes through three different phases. Media has great impact on every single phase, starting with helping people to get the information and facts related to different political activities, through assisting the audience to take a specific stand, and finally taking an action towards those activities.
