governorate attended the meeting, which it was done within the framework of the initiative of the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development, which aims to work with non-governmental associations and institutions in 9 Egyptian governorates.
The meeting was attended by:
• The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development Program Coordinator, Professor Abeer Mohamed.
• Mr. Mustafa Kamel, Head of Associations Department in Akhmem in Department of Social Solidarity in Sohag.
• Mr. Karam Maqwali Abdul Wahid, Director of the Social Department of Akhmem.
• Instructor/Abeer Nofal, a consultant for human development.
• Mr. Ahmad El-Badri, Head of Social Affairs Unit in Beneda.
During the meeting, which was opened by Professor Marwa Issa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Empowerment Association for People with Disabilities in Sohag:
• Professor Marwa Issa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of The Empowerment Association for People with Disabilities in Sohag, explained how to write development proposals and study the needs of the community, how to make the problems tree then getting out the most important problem of them in order to solve it, how to reduce vulnerabilities and how to eliminate threats and turn them into strengths.
• Professor Abeer, presented the plan of action of the coalition during the next phase and its role in supporting the capacity-building of women protectors in the targeted governorates.
• Mr. Mustafa, spoke about building the capacity of individuals, gave an introduction to the tax file of associations and definition of electronic invoice, also he spoke about drafting the proposal – the most important records used for associations and projects.
• Mr. Karam, emphasized the importance of capacity-building for associations and civil institutions in the governorate of Sohag.
• Instructor/Abeer, stressed on:
 How associations identify their weaknesses and strengths and the importance of knowing the threats they face and the opportunities they can take advantage of, adding that each association works to effectively strengthen their strengths and works on how to make good use of their opportunities.
 Threats and opportunities are external factors that are uncontrollable, so make a plan to utilize them and develop alternatives to them.
• Mr. El-Badri, addressed the evaluation of the skills of associations and institutions and their exploitation in society.
