The Egyptian coalition issues its sixth report on the presidential elections entitled:
“Monitoring The Activities of Candidates for The Presidential Elections in Egypt: The period from October 14 to November 9, 2023”

The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development issues Thursday, November 9, 2023, the sixth report on the presidential elections, which monitors the activities of candidates for the presidential elections in Egypt for the period from October 14 to November 9, 2023, the biography of each candidate, the decisions of the National Authority for the period from October 14 to November 9, grievances submitted to the National Authority for Elections, and electoral appeals.
The National Authority for Elections indicated on October 18, 2023 that it had not received any objections from applicants for candidacy in the 2024 presidential elections.
The report also monitored the filing of a judicial appeal before the Supreme Administrative Court, the Council of State, in which it demanded the annulment of the decision of the National Authority for Elections, including the acceptance of the papers of the potential presidential candidate, Farid Zahran, for the seat of the Presidency of the Republic, and requested the invalidation of his candidacy due to his missing one of the conditions for candidacy. Appeal No. 1579 of 1970. The appellant appeared at the hearing on Monday, October 23, 2023, before the First Circuit of the Supreme Administrative Court, and decided to drop the appeal and abandon the dispute over it. Therefore, the court decided:
Accepting the appellant’s waiver of his appeal and abandoning the dispute therein.
With regard to monitoring the activities of the candidates during the reporting period, the following was monitored:
Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s campaign:
 Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s campaign met with delegations from 15 unions (the Agricultural Professions Union – the General Union of Textile Workers – the Veterinarians Union – the General Union of Sports Professions – the General Union of Banks, Insurance and Financial Works – the General Union of Workers in Agriculture, Irrigation, Fishing and Land Reclamation – the General Union For land transport workers – the General Union of Egyptian Railway and Metro Workers – the General Nursing Union – the Bar Association – the General Union of Education and Scientific Research Workers – the Social Professions Union – the Scientific Professions Union – the General Union of Health Services Workers – the General Union of Petroleum Workers).
 It also held four meetings with experts, clerics, and Egyptians abroad (a delegation of some education experts – Ziad Ahmed Bahaa El-Din, economic expert – Egyptians abroad via video conference – Coptic Orthodox Church).
 It also met with leaders of the Democratic Generation Party.
 Fifteen meetings were monitored with specialists, youth entities, unions and specialized centres.
 Three protests were also observed to denounce what is happening in Palestine.
 Three meetings with diplomatic missions were also monitored
Mr. Farid Zahran’s campaign:
 A meeting was monitored in the Archdiocese of Menoufia in Ashmoun.
 A meeting was observed with the leaders of the Egyptian Socialist Party and the Egyptian Communist Party.
 Two meetings were monitored with a number of civil society figures and Egyptian publishers.
 Two meetings with diplomatic missions were monitored.
 Two mass conferences were monitored in Menoufia and Alexandria governorates.
 Four media meetings.
Mr. Hazem Omar’s campaign:
 Two meetings were monitored with the delegation of the Youth Coordination of Parties and Politicians and the Dialogue Bloc.
 Two meetings with diplomatic missions were monitored.
 Three media meetings were monitored.
Mr. Abdul Sanad Yamama:
 A meeting was monitored with the Youth Coordination of Parties and Politicians.
 A protest was monitored in support of the Palestinian cause.
 A meeting was monitored with the European Union ambassador.
 Two media meetings were also monitored.

Through analysis of what was monitored, the report indicated the following:
The campaign of Mr. Abdel Fattah El-Sisi is the most active campaign during the monitoring period, as 41 campaign activities were monitored during the monitoring period with various segments of society.
He was followed by Mr. Farid Zahran, where 12 activities were monitored during the monitoring period.
Then Mr. Hazem Omar, 7 activities were monitored during the monitoring period.
Then Mr. Abdel-Sanad Yamama, 5 activities were monitored during the monitoring period.
The four presidential candidates took the decision to suspend their election campaign activities on October 18 for two days in protest against the genocide carried out by the occupation army in Gaza and the occupation’s bombing of Al-Ahly Baptist Hospital.
Most of the candidates were keen to meet with youth entities, believing in the importance of the role of the youth group and the need for them to integrate and engage in political life, and to benefit from their opinions in their electoral programs.
