An Egyptian citizen, who works in a toy store in the Fahaheel area in southern Kuwait, was beaten and thrown to the ground by two Kuwaiti youths and the third recorded the moment of the assault by video. The Kuwaiti Ministry of Information explained that the incident, which was broadcasted on social media sites via Twitter, was that Kuwaiti youth were keen to document the incident by video, which confirms their intention to attack the Egyptian worker. The ministry explained that the incident was due to a quarrel that erupted over products in a children’s toy store.
The Ministry of State for Immigration and Egyptians Abroad Affairs stated that the incident ended by an apology to the Egyptian citizen, and that the two young men who assaulted the Egyptian youth are under detention and investigation.
