Ahmed Sayed Abdelaal an Egyptian who resides in Canada went on hunger strike in the summer of 2020 for beatings and racism he faced in prison, after being imprisoned by Canadian authorities without trial after being accused by his “estranged” wife of kidnapping their three children, where they took their three children during the winter break at the beginning of 2020 to travel to Egypt and agreed to return to Canada together to begin their move to return to live in Egypt together, but she called the police as soon as he arrived at the airport in Canada, where she accused him of kidnapping the three boys.

Ahmed Sayed also suffers from poor health care in prison for not providing the necessary treatment for his depression.
