Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights expresses its deep concern about the kidnapping of civilians in Nigeria by extremist militias, calling on the international community to intensify efforts to eradicate terrorism.
Women from refugee camps in “Nagala” region near the border with Cameroon, who were gathering wood at the moment of the attack by militants belonging to the “ISIL West Africa State”, in Borno state were kidnapped by extremist militias.
In this regard, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights condemns all acts of violence and terrorism, and intimidation of civilians, as they contradict humanitarian principles and values.
The Coalition calls for a firm confrontation for all forms of terrorism and taking all measures to dismantle terrorist networks and any system that supports them, whether on the ground or in the digital field that is increasingly being used by terrorists.
