Cairo Criminal Court Adjourns the Retrial of the “Tik Tok Girl” to the March 22nd Session to Submit Documents

Today, Monday, February 21, 2022, the Cairo Criminal Court postponed the hearing of Haneen Hosam’s case, known as the Tik Tok girl, to the March 22 session to submit documents, after the defendant’s, Haneen Hossam, defense requested during the session to authorize him to issue a certificate of innocence for his client, in another case in which she was being tried before the current circuit.

During the session, which was held in the deliberation room, the court heard 4 witnesses, as one of the witnesses said in the case that she did not receive any money from the accused.

The facts of the case refer to the accusation of Haneen Hosam of dealing with natural persons under the age of 18, and others that she used for allegedly providing them with job opportunities under the guise of their work as broadcasters through one of the electronic applications for social communication “Likey” and “Tik Tok” for the purpose of inciting against Debauchery, temptation and prostitution and a sentence of 10 years imprisonment was issued against her and a fine of 200,000 Egyptian pounds for her conviction in the case No. 4917 of 2020, Coastal Felonies.
