The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development condemns the storming of a huge number of Israeli occupation army forces, on Monday morning 19/6/2023, to the city of Jenin, north of the West Bank and its camp, and the deployment of snipers over some houses and buildings overlooking the camp, during which the Israeli occupation soldiers fired live bullets, sound bombs and poison gas, towards Palestinian youths, which led to the death of three Palestinian citizens, including a child, and the injury of 31 others, including 9 seriously. A military bulldozer of the Israeli occupation forces also destroyed a water line in the Jabriyat neighborhood of Jenin, and caused a power outage for large parts of Jenin camp, and stormed a house in the Jabriyat neighborhood and used its residents as human shields, and arrested two young men during its continuous aggression on the city of Jenin and its camp, and a military vehicle belonging to the occupation forces deliberately hit a Red Crescent ambulance, and prevented it from reaching to transport the injured, and an Apache warplane bombed empty land in the Jabriyat neighborhood of the city of Jenin.

The Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development condemns this Israeli military escalation carried out by the occupation army repeatedly, permanently and almost daily against the Palestinian people, and the resulting extrajudicial killings and the drain of the blood of Palestinians, youth, children and the elderly, and heinous collective punishments that include the lives of unarmed civilians and paralyze their movement and their ability to access their work, schools, universities and health centers. Such criminal acts are contrary to all the provisions of international law and the decisions of international legitimacy, as such attacks only serve to inflame the situation and undermine efforts to reduce tension in the occupied territories in the event that they spiral out of control.

Therefore, the Egyptian Coalition for Human Rights and Development warns of the dangers of continued escalation against the Palestinian people, Israel’s refusal to pay the benefits of peace with the Palestinian side, and its adherence to deepening the racist colonial occupation, and completing the episodes of aggression and brutal attack on the Palestinian people and threatening their security and lives, and also calls for a firm international position that rises to the level of what the Palestinian people are subjected to from settler colonialism and crimes of oppression, oppression and abuse, and to take the necessary measures to force the occupation state to stop unilateral measures and fulfill With its obligations as an occupying power, and to abide by the signed agreements and understandings of calm, as the continuous warnings of the worsening situation in Palestine urge this society to exercise its natural role.
