For his part, Saeed Abdel Hafez, Chairman of the FDHRD, affirmed his firm and explicit support for democracy, human rights, the rule of law, respect for international standards and basic principles of legitimacy, and adherence to the rule of law, in Egypt and all over the world. He also stressed the importance of raising awareness of democracy in societal circles, especially among youth and women groups, which creates a society aware of its civic role.
