Dr. Shereen started by introducing everyone to all the attendees and the most important main discussion in today’s discussion. Dr. Majda Al-Khawaja / President of the Arab Hands Foundation presented a speech.
Dr. Bahaa Al-Jabalawi delivered a comprehensive lecture on human trafficking and its types, and ways to confront it. The basis of everything is for each individual to begin with himself and the strengthening of his awareness and knowledge to help himself first and then others
Human trafficking is not only through slavery or, as some understand, trafficking in bodily organs, but rather intellectual trafficking, the deprivation of freedoms and the loss of rights is a kind of trafficking
The illusion of youth and the exploitation of the lower classes of society intellectually by their obsession with travel and their orientation to illegal travel and their presence in strange countries sometimes lose their human beings and many of their rights are waived and their situation is a kind of human trafficking
In his speech, he touched on more than one point with clarification, stressing that each individual has a special and public role, and the main goal is to spread awareness, even if by doing a search and researching the topic, so that everyone knows the issue in all its forms and how to properly address it, and that it is not just words received, but the basics followed to change the negatives of reality and benefit everyone.
